We drove to the loveliest easy walk (5 km, flat) and had a marvelous day at the Coachford Greenway across the River Lee from the National Rowing Centre. The water was so beautiful, the huge rocks bordering the trail were fascinating, the blooming gorse bushes were stupendous and the wood violets were quiet and dainty. The day was perfect. We met people on the trail cleaning up litter. This was worth the drive from Mahon.

We took water and strawberries for a snack afterward – very welcome because I then had to drive home.
