Daisy McDonald, Artist and Sculptor was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, and now resides in Hot Springs, Arkansas. McDonald graduated from Texas Midwestern University and attended the Pasadena Playhouse School of Acting in California. Since 1983, she has taught art classes and won national recognition for her work in both painting and sculpting media. She has served as President of the Board of Directors of the Hot Springs Art Center.

McDonald's paintings in a variety of media are on display in numerous private collections and public venues. Commissions include:

- St. Joseph Hospital (Hot Springs, Arkansas) McDonald's paintings hang in patient rooms and in the obstetrics areas.
- Hotelier Hill Wheatley, Hot Springs, Portrait located in the lobby of the Hot Springs Downtowner Hotel.
- Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. (Buffalo Bills Football Team owner) and Mary McLean of Florida commissioned a painting of an Racing Scene from the Oaklawn Race Course for President Clinton's mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Kelly.

Many of McDonald's racing paintings are owned and displayed by prominent businesses, and her portraiture is in high demand.
